Location: It goes without saying that the Canaries are blessed with year round sun, warm waters and consistent waves but here in Famara the stunning 6km long natural sandy beach set in the foothills of the "Los Riscos" cliff range make learning to surf in Lanzarote a unique and memorable experience. All surf courses are held on Playa Famara beach which was recently voted as one of Europes top watersports destinations thanks mainly due to it's year round consistent waves suitable for all levels of surfers.

Surf School: Our surf school in Lanzarote is regarded as being one of the very best beginner schools in Europe and uses the most up to date teaching methods available. It is also the only International Surfing Association (ISA) and Surfing GB (formally British Surfing Association BSA) Level 4 registered school in the Canaries offering the very highest levels of coaching. The coaching is specifically aimed at those who have never surfed before or those who have already taken some some lessons but feel they need to improve further in a safe but fun environment.

Surf Lessons: Each lesson is a full day, approx. 4h45min with a break for lunch, groups are divided by ability and have low instructor to pupil ratios, typically 1/8 or less. As well as the beach drills and waterwork what makes this course so special is the overall view of surfing provided. Subjects, such as surfboard design, the history of surfing, beach safety, weather and waves, surfing fitness, the rules of surfing, types of breaks, and many more are covered in our short lectures. Our surf school uses the latest surf equipment including INT and Circle One softboards which are specifically designed for first time surfers, ease of use, stability and safety being the key factors. These boards come in many sizes and are chosen to suit your height and weight. As you progress you will have the opportunity to ride a more traditional surfboard from the extensive range of South Point/Surftech boards and BIC longboards. At the end of the course each pupil is assesed and presented with a Surfing GB (BSA) surf award scheme certificate. Every pupil has a different learning curve but with the right coaching you are guaranteed to be catching and riding your first waves and starting to make your first turns within a week!
