WindSurf Academy Fuerteventura
The WINDSURF CENTRE was founded in 1987, is a recognised VDWS center and has been successfully running windsurfing courses for people of all ages from all over the world. This is a local school run by locals and is well respected as one of the best training grounds in europe.
Instructors

Coaching
We offer a wide range of coaching and tuition, from beginner up to advanced. The Windsurf Center is located directly behind the sandy beach of Las Cucharas which is the main beach of the Costa Teguise tourist resort. The tradewinds blow almost perfectly side shore from the left and with more power then elsewhere on the island.
Inside the sheltered bay the wind is lighter so that beginners and less experienced sailors enjoy easy conditions. Outside the bay, upwind, there is a massive reef where advanced sailors can enjoy wavesailing and get some airtime.
The position of the reef allows progression towards the impact zone. Depending on the conditions the reef can produce really big waves and believe us – a good day in Las Cucharas you’ll never forget!
Equipment
As a professional Windsurf-Center we offer a wide range of the latest windsurfing equipment. We have a range of boards from radical wave boards to freestyle & freeride boards to the new wild-styleshapes, which more and more people enjoy.
All our sails are from Neil Pryde. We stock wavesails, freemove & freeride sails. Safety is always a key factor. Beginners will use boards designed for both stability and safety and the instructors will select a board suitable for your size, weight and level. All the equipment is checked and maintained on a regular basis to ensure you have the best material at your disposal. The centre also provide a wide range of good quality wetsuits at no extra charge. Safety
We also take your safety seriously and out on the water we have our own bay-watch-security-system and our rescue boat is available at all times.
