Grass roots of surfing: Longboarding has it's place in the grass roots of surfing history however in the early 1990s, there was a definate resurgence which is still evident today. As a result many surfers rediscovered the graceful art of longboarding and its many classic maneuvers that are not possible on a shortboard. A new generation of Longboarders now exists and as a result traditional longboard shapes have been brought up to date allowing for a wider range of longboard surfing styles.

Longboard coaching: Head coach TJ has riden longboards all his life everything from traditional logs to modern high performace longboards, he has competed in many longboard competitions, coached professional longboarders and he is a respected Trainer and Assessor of Surf Coaches for the British Surfing Association. Over the years he has taken this knowledge/experience and designed a coaching scheme specifically aimed at longboarders. Our exclusive longboard coaching weeks are availble to all longboarders and no matter what your ability/experience our experienced surf coaching team will help you to improve in every aspect of longboarding. The course covers all aspects longboard techniques such as cross stepping, drop knee turns, nose riding, paddling out, and many more that make longboarding so attractive.

Longboard equipment: Our surf school is equipped with a wide range of longboards that will suit most tastes and styles including modern 9fters, 9ft 6in Noseriders and 10ft logs to experience the Glide... The surf team still really like riding the 9’ BIC classic, the Nat Young 9’4” and the Bob Pearson 10’… which are very good mals. We also have some 9’6” Cobalt epoxy classic logs as well. We also know how difficult and costly it can be to travel with a log especially on the budget airlines so even if you already have your own longboard, you can still benefit and draw experience from trying and riding a different type of longboard from our range. Also if you are thinking about purchasing a longboard, our team will be happy to provide you with the necessary help and advice with regards board design and selection.
