CAR HIRE IN FUERTEVENTURA
Public transport is limited and taxis can work out quite expensive.
Fuerteventura is a large island and
hiring a car is by far the best
way to get the most out of your
trip. It also ensures you get
to all the best breaks while making
sure that any land lovers in
your group can enjoy themselves
as well. Zoco can arrange a
hire car to meet you at the airport
when you arrive. With prices starting
at 185€ per week and petrol
costing around 90cents per litre
it is a cost effective way to see
the island.
Minimum age for rental is 21 years, having held a driving licence
for at least 2 years. European
or International driving licences
only. Prices include unlimited
mileage and insurance - child seat
can be provided free of charge
if required.
Roof racks are charged per rental regardless of 1, 2 or 3 weeks.
The following out
of hours supplements apply to airport
delivery:
Arrivals between 20.00 and 21.00
= 12 €
Arrivals after 21.00 = 18 €
Arrivals on Saturday pm, Sunday
pm or bank holiday = 18 €
Airport transfers can be arranged for clients not wanting to rent
a car and staying on one of our
camps or surfaris. The price
is 25 € one way for a maximum of 3 persons and their kit. For larger groups of a maximum of 7 persons the price is 50€ one way.

Driving Info
The road infrastructure on the island is generally good and places
are well signposted. As with most
European countries, in Fuerteventura
we drive on the right. To hire a
car in Fuerteventura you need a full
driving licence and your passport.
You must carry these documents with
you at all times when driving. If
you get stopped by the police and can't
produce these documents you'll
get a hefty fine.
How to BookIt's easy! Just make a note of the type of car you want e.g. Opel Corsa with air con. and add it to your booking form. When selecting your hire car, please make allowances for luggage space and transporting your sports equipment. Zoco can arrange for child seats and roof bars to be added to your hire car. Child seats are free but don't forget to ask for these when you book. Please note if you opt for roof bars to transport your equipment don't forget to bring your own roof straps.
Please note:
All cars must be taken care of! Please return them in the same condition
as received. Insurance cover is not
valid off road - if you do drive
off road please have a bit of respect
for the vehicle. Take care of the
body work of the car when carrying
kit and please try not to fill the
interior with sand.
